"Radius Design have produced a modern, fresh website for UFS which is easy to use and appealing for our learners. Ian is very approachable and makes the process and terminology simple to understand. We would like to thank Radius for their help and support."
Process
No deposit to start and no risk to you
Radius employ a five stage development process to ensure you get the site you expect. We don't ask for a deposit to start work. If you don't like what we produce you don't pay for it.
1. Define
Before we start we ask you about:
- your business, what you do and future plans
- why you want a site and what it is to achieve
- who it is aimed at
- what you would like visitors to do - their 'call to action'
- what you would like the site to look like
For sites with custom functionality we will help you draw up a Outline Functional Specification document outlining your system and requirements as you see them at the time. This document allows us to provide you with a fixed price quote for a custom job.
Should your requirements be difficult to specify in sufficient detail at this stage then we will recommend drawing up a Detailed Functional Specification first which would be a chargeable service.
2. Design
We then have a Design Meeting where we discuss what you have in mind for your new site. We then research some design options which we discuss with you before proceeding to the next stage.
We then produce a 'demo' site with a sample home and content pages. If you are happy with the demo, great. If not then we will produce further demos until you are.
Once you are happy with the overall design we will discuss this with you and make further amendments until you are 100% happy, after which we ask you to sign it off and we then present our first invoice.
There is no time limit on the amount of time we will spend with you on the design of your site.
3. Build
Standard and Content Managed sites are then built using the Radius Construction Methodology process.
For sites with custom functionality we will write a Detailed Functional Specification document describing your system and how it works in step by step detail. This is done in conjunction with you and you sign it off. The document is then used by our developers to meet your requirements as accurately as possible.
Your site is then built after which it is put through a three stage Quality Audit (QA) to ensure all functionality works and it displays correctly in all current browsers. On completion we ask you to sign it off.
4. Launch
If you need to measure site visitors a Google Analytics account is set up and installed on your site.
If your site has functionality you are now trained in it's use, any final tweaks are done and you are asked to sign off the site as accepted.
On payment of your final invoice the site is moved from the testing server to the host server and is available to the world.
5. Support
Your site should grow with your business so we will contact you every six months to ensure it still meets your needs. If things have changed we can introduce further functionality or related web services as required.
